On October 6, SNCF and Alstom unveiled the new TGV M at the southeast European SNCF technical center in Paris. Clément Beaune, Minister of Transport was there to celebrate this special day, along with Jean-Pierre Farandou, CEO of the SNCF group; Christophe Fanichet, CEO of SNCF Voyageurs and Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud, General manager of Alstom.
From June 2023, the future TGV M has been undergoing tests on the French national railway network. This campaign, which is being stepped up with the arrival of a new test train, will last until the end of 2023, before the acceptance test phase in 2024.
Alstom Flertex will provide brake linings manufactured in Saint Florentin and achieves 3 years of development.
